PMA’s John Philbrick elected as AACE International’s Region 3 Director

On March 15, 2017, PMA Director of Operations, John Philbrick, PE, PMP, CCP, was elected as the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) International’s Director of Region 3. As one of eight AACE regions, Region 3 (US – Southeast) includes Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

As an AACE International regional director, Mr. Philbrick is responsible for not only managing the health of the AACE International sections comprising Region 3 but also for ensuring that the organization grows and furthers its mission of advancing technical knowledge and professional development over his two-year tenure.

For over 38 years, Mr. Philbrick has accumulated significant expertise in project controls, project scheduling, schedule development/analysis/training, cost estimating, cost controls, and claims analysis. He has participated on project management teams for major road, airport, infrastructure, architectural, manufacturing/process, recreation, electric utility, and water/wastewater projects in the southern and eastern United States.

Mr. Philbrick has been an active member of AACE International since 1996 and, since 2001, is certified as a cost professional through AACE International. Mr. Philbrick has been an active member of AACE International since 1996, was certified as a cost professional in 2001, and continues to be an active presenter at AACE meetings. Mr. Philbrick is member of the National Academy of Forensic Engineers, an affinity group of the National Society of Professional Engineers of which he is also a member.

Over the last 40 years, AACE International has grown to include more than 8,500 members in 100 countries and seeks to be the recognized technical authority in cost and schedule management for programs, projects, products, assets, and services.
