Richard L. Johnson, BCEE, CVS-Life, PE
Rick leads PMA’s Orlando office with extensive experience in civil and environmental engineering that includes governmental and industrial building construction, building rehabilitation, roadway paving and drainage, airport airside improvements, airport terminal vertical construction, corrections expansions, community parks, and transportation systems. He has managed numerous projects for municipalities and private enterprises throughout Florida, providing construction management, project controls, and cost estimating services.
Rick leads the national value engineering practice for PMA. He provides value engineering services and manages the continuing Statewide VE Services contract for the State of Florida. Serving as VE Team Leader, Mr. Johnson provides value engineering services on a wide range of projects to major clients such as the National Parks Service, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center, Florida Department of Transportation, Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority, Chicago Transit Authority, Chicago Regional Transportation Authority, Connecticut Department of Transportation, and MassDOT, resulting in over $5 billion in savings.
Rick has both an MSE and a BSE in civil/environmental engineering from the University of Central Florida.
Rick is a registered professional engineer in Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina, a certified general contractor, a certified underground utility contractor and certified value specialist. He is a current member of SAVE International® serving on the Board of Directors, National Society of Professional Engineers, Florida Engineering Society, American Water Works Association, Florida Section American Water Works Association, and the American Academy of Environmental Engineers.
