The BP Cherry Point clean diesel project included converting the balance of BP’s refinery diesel production volume to ultra-low-sulfur diesel to comply with United States Environmental Protection Agency diesel sulfur specification requirements. The scope also included installing additional hydrotreating and hydrogen generation capacity at the refinery along with various refinery infrastructure improvements to support the project.
During the life of the project, PMA provided schedule assurance, risk analysis, and supplemental scheduling services to the BP project management team. PMA’s forecast for completion was extremely accurate. In July 2010, 34 months prior to the actual completion, PMA forecasted a completion date that was within one week of actual project completion.
