Fort Bliss Replacement Hospital

Overview

This project involves a 1.1 million-SF healthcare campus at Fort Bliss that includes construction of a seven-story replacement hospital and five supporting buildings, including in-patient and out-patient clinics, an administrative building, a clinical investigation building, and a central utility plant. The new 630,000-SF hospital replaces the existing William Beaumont Army Medical Center and will be constructed with a steel frame structure, side plate connection system, and a concrete and metal deck composite floor system designed to withstand the effects of seismic activity.

PMA verifyied the authenticity and accuracy of the claimed amounts associated with significant cost and schedule impacts (including acceleration) caused by significant design- and owner-related issues that occurred on the project.
