Southern California Edison P6 Project Controls Support

Overview

PMA is assisting the Southern California Edison (SCE) Engineering Group with all of its schedule activities and tracking the procurement of major materials for SCE projects. The effort requires assisting in the development of the Primavera P6 data warehouse and reporting system and working directly with SCE sponsoring organizations, engineering, the major projects organization (MPO), substation construction and maintenance, and substation and transmission business planning. PMA supports the management of about 650 SoCal projects each year with an annual budget estimate ranging from $620 million to $730 million.

PMA services also include supporting the generation and dissemination of reporting models, histograms, and other informational derivatives to allow stakeholders to better understand and report on project status; identifying actual and estimated major equipment and/or long-lead items from daily SCE major equipment list updates and incorporating into project schedules; providing current status during weekly progress meetings chaired by the MPO; and documenting and communicating project schedule date changes in a timely manner to the responsible engineers, engineering leads, and to other project stakeholders.
