Southern New Hampshire University Monadnock Hall

Overview

The new Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) design-build (DB) Residence Hall Project included design, construction, and associated site work for a new 300-bed apartment-style dormitory for students and staff. Each unit in this four-story ~100,000-SF structure contains a private kitchen and bath. Design included double and single units for students as well as units for resident assistant(s) and a resident director. Several units are fully accessible and ADA compliant. Common areas on each floor—such as small group study areas, fitness, and meeting space—were also included in the scope.

PMA provided comprehensive owner’s project manager (OPM) services on the new residence hall project. Services included developing the design-build RFP and managing the procurement process, as well as providing contract administration, project controls, on-site OPM, design review, value management, document review, cost estimating, bidding, and construction administration. In addition, PMA managed independent commissioning and testing and inspection services.
